The Quest

I’d have it all.

You know that adage, “You can’t have everything, where would you put it?”

Screw those people. If I had it all I’d have storage.

After a glorious year in pursuit of Martha Points, I realized that my search was bigger than that.

I’m in pursuit of my sanity.

I’m in pursuit of a calorie-free brownie.

I’m in pursuit of fame, fortune and great hair.

I’m in pursuit of my children, because they’re faster and smarter than me.

I’m in pursuit of my cats, because they know if I catch them I’ll pack them in a box and ship them to Siberia, air-holes optional.

I’m in pursuit of the obvious.

I’m in pursuit of it all.

And if you see it, would you mind terribly making sure I’m running toward it and not away from it?

‘Cause some days it’s so damned hard to tell the difference.
